There are two hotels in Kymenlaakso that have the Sauna from Finland ry quality certificate. In July, both Kotka’s Seurahuone and Kouvola’s Vaakuna renewed the Authentic Finnish Sauna Experience URBAN quality certificate issued by Sauna from Finland. The audit is done every two years and the certificate is valid for two years from the date of its issuance.
Both hotels have received great customer feedback about their saunas. The guest books in the saunas are full of pleasant messages, praising the importance of the sauna experience and how wonderful the sauna experience has been.
“This is exactly the reason why most hotels go along with developing the sauna experience. We want to create meaningful customer experiences that exceed the customers’ expectations,” says Carita Harju, Executive Director of Sauna from Finland, who audited both sauna experiences at the beginning of July and awarded the certificates.
Developing the sauna experience to meet the quality criteria is one of the ways for the hotel to take its operations in a higher-quality and more customer-friendly direction. Both saunas are located on the ground floor of the hotel, but the premises are still atmospheric and the saunas have windows to the outside and you can cool off on the terraces.
