World Sauna Forum 2020 Virtual Event invites to discover the wonders of an authentic Finnish sauna

The free two-day event will be held on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2020, in order to make the benefits on an authentic Finnish sauna experience known globally.

The importance of health, wellbeing, and presence have increased remarkably in peoples’ lives during the last decade or two and now, in the midst of the global pandemic, they are more valued than ever. New ways of finding calmness and connection to ourselves and others are constantly sought and incorporated into everyday life.

Many have found their safe haven from a sauna. Sauna offers a quiet and close-to-the-nature experience for those seeking for relaxation and presence in the hectic world. Sauna is suitable for both everyday life and occasional pampering, and can be tailored for many needs and tastes.

It is often said that sauna comes from Finland, and it is in many ways true—although the roots of the sauna lie a bit further East, ‘sauna’ is a Finnish word, and sauna is a remarkable part of the Finnish history and culture. Therefore, Finland is the sauna country, and Finns have the knowhow and tools for creating the best sauna experiences in the world.

The year’s biggest sauna event shares Finnish sauna knowledge around the world

On the 3rd and 4th of this December everyone has a chance to deep into the world of Finnish sauna, when the free World Sauna Forum 2020 Virtual Event launches fascinating interviews with sauna professionals and sauna lifestyle enthusiasts. The discussions with the 12 interviewees include topics such as Finnish sauna design, health benefits, sauna as a creativity booster, and the potential of the Finnish sauna in the global wellness markets.

The programme includes interviews with well-known Finns, Finnish sauna fans, and sauna professionals such as:

  • Jasper Pääkkönen, internationally celebrated actor & sauna entrepreneur
  • Atomu Tanaka, professional football player for HJK
  • Tapio Pajuharju, CEO of the global sauna market leader Harvia Group Oyj
  • Mari Eder, World Cup level biathlete
  • Hans Hägglund, the “sauna doctor” and adjunct professor at Department of Medical Sciences, Uppsala University
  • Samu Haber, Entertainment Entrepreneur

World Sauna Forum’s organizer Sauna from Finland welcomes everyone to join the year’s biggest sauna event—for free! The two-day event offers something for everyone from sauna fans to business people interested in opportunities in the field of sauna. The participants will get tips for designing an authentic Finnish sauna experience for different tastes to homes, hotels, spas, and health clubs. In addition, a free virtual B2B Matchmaking offers a chance for companies from outside of Finland to discover new Finnish sauna products and meet the sauna builders and potential business partners.

Sign up for the event at www.worldsaunaforum.com/registration and tune in on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2020 at 10AM EET (UTC+02:00) to join in the discussion about sauna lifestyle, health benefits, and business opportunities! Can’t make it for the original stream? No worries—the stream is available for watching for 48h after the original one has ended.

The World Sauna Forum event was created four years ago by Sauna from Finland, a Finnish sauna expertise association and company network, with a goal to increase the spread of the authentic Finnish sauna experience to the world. The event brings together people who share interest and passion towards the authentic, high-quality sauna experience in order to generate new ideas, business co-operations, and most importantly, to give the Finnish sauna the recognition it deserves. Normally organized live and merely as a B2B event, this year the World Sauna Forum is made accessible for all, so anyone could discover this unique way to look after their physical and mental wellbeing in the hectic world.
