Before putting the heater in the standby mode (required for heater’s remote control), the user of the heater must check that the sauna is safe to use and that no items, such as toys or other items or clothing, are placed on or in close proximity to the heater. After the check, close the sauna door and put the heater in standby mode using the heater’s control panel. The separate controller can be placed, for example, in the bathroom or changing room. Then, you can remotely start heating the WiFi heater or schedule it to start heating at your desired time, directly from the application!
The included door sensor of the heater detects if the sauna door is opened during the scheduled heating, in which case, for safety reasons, the heater’s schedule and standby mode are deactivated until the sauna’s safety is checked, the door is closed, and the standby mode is reactivated from the separate controller.
Here’s how to put the Mondex WiFi heater in standby mode:
- Check the safety of the sauna and the heater, move any items placed on or in close proximity to the heater.
- Close the sauna door.
- Turn on the standby mode using the separate controller for the heater, which can be installed, for example, in the bathroom or dressing room.
After this, the application allows you to start the heating or schedule the heater to start heating at your desired time! The door sensor included with the heater detects if the sauna door is opened during the scheduled heating, in which case, the standby mode and the schedule are deactivated until you perform steps 1-3 again.
Optimize You Sauna Heating
When you set the heater to standby mode using the separate control panel before leaving home, you can start the WiFi heater to heat up, for example, when you are returning from a trip or directly from the jogging trail, ensuring that the sauna is warm exactly when you want it. You can also add more time to the heating, check the sauna’s temperature, and adjust the desired target temperature through the application. The app will notify you when the target temperature is approaching, allowing you to go enjoy the sauna.
You can always check from the application whether the heater is on and, if needed, turn off the heater, regardless of whether you are at home or not!
Track Your Sauna Habits
From the WiFi application’s statistics, you can see, for example, how many times and when the heater has been used. The app also reminds you in advance when it’s time to change the sauna stones, helping you take care of your heater, which is also an essential part of ensuring sauna safety. In the sauna diary section of the application, you can also enter the electricity price and directly monitor how much money is spent on sauna usage in your household.
