Vihtori Luhtanen decided to set up his own company in 1907. The idea was to combine his wife Jenny’s craftsmanship with Vihtori’s skills as a merchant. Sales trips were initially made to neighbouring counties, then further afield in the following decades, and after the middle of the decade, also outside Finland’s borders, getting international.
The philosophy that our founder created almost 120 years ago remains the same even today: to make the best basics available for everyone. Thus, we thrive to become the number one choice in quality home textiles worldwide.
With our roots up in the North, the sauna is a sacred place for us Finns, offering a holistic feeling of purification. The sauna experience can be deepened and further enhanced by choosing quality sauna textiles and scents.
