Hotelli Vaakuna’s certificate, which has been valid for several years, was renewed. Hotel Kimmel got the quality certificate for the first time to both the room saunas and Pampering Spa Kimmel. The Authentic Finnish Sauna Experience Quality Certificate guarantees that the sauna experience is of high quality and customer-oriented. The certificate has already been granted to several hotels of the Original by Sokos Hotels brand.
Developing the sauna experience through cooperation
Kimmel Spa, which opened in July 2022, offers luxury for everyday life. The spa has both a Finnish and a steam sauna. Different pools and experience showers complete the feeling. In addition, in cooperation with Lumene, a unique sauna path has been created in the spa, which includes skin care products. The package includes a salt crystal exfoliation for the feet, a face exfoliation, a soothing face mask, a body cream, and a 24-hour intensive moisturizer. Kati Moilanen, the service manager of Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna, feels that she has received help in improving the quality level of experience from Sauna from Finland, who as an outsider can see the areas of development more easily than those who work at the hotel every day. The hotel updated the overall look of the sauna experience with slight changes, such as replacing the sauna stones and shower heads. Ordering support bars for the saunas increased the level of safety. It is now even easier to relax in the sauna facilities.

The certificate will be proudly displayed in Kimmel and Vaakuna, so that both guests from Finland and abroad as well as the hotel staff know to head to the sauna areas.
