Jokipiin Pellava Oy – Sauna textiles from the country, where sauna was born

Jokipiin Pellava was founded 1920 and its main business is sauna textiles. Year 2020 is the 100 year anniversary for the sauna textiles mill. Anniversary collection, new sauna textile innovations and new web site are launched this year.

Asser Laurila started the company in 1920 in Jokipii village in Jalasjärvi by Jalasjoki river. He was only 21 years old at the time. Now 3rd generation is running the company.

Products made in Finland, nature’s own textile materials, family entrepreneurship, and skilled workers are things that their values are based on. Their linen weaving mill employs 27 people. Jokipiin Pellava manufactures textiles for sauna and bath, kitchen, and table setting. The cousins Timo and Markku represent the third generation in this company. They cherish family business values – and so do their customers as well.

Linen textiles made by Jokipiin Pellava have special characteristics, which are ideal for sauna textiles:

  • linen textiles are easy to wash in the washing machine – easy-care
  • linen towel absorbs moisture from the skin – easy to dry yourself
  • linen towel has a nice rough surface, thus giving massage while drying
  • linen towel does not stink after use, if left in the humid bathroom

Jokipiin Pellava’s sauna textiles are suitable for use in both private and public saunas, such as hotels and spas. The production of these sauna textiles in Finland is sustainable with zero liter of water consumption.

Sauna experience is the way to relax, and linen sauna textiles make it even more enjoyable.
